This company keeps downsizing

ProsBusiness casual attire, decent benefits, Small onsite fitness center, onsite classes to help employees improve skills

ConsMagazine fulfillment is a not a growing industry. Publishers are going digital, and CDS does not have the technology to keep up. CDS has had significant layoffs in the last 2 years - at least 30% of their US workforce, and they closed a processing site in Red Oak. Employees are discouraged and confused by the constant restructuring and fearful of additional downsizing. Longtime CEO's and VP's have all "retired" in the last 5 years. There is a revolving door of upper management that stays 1 year or less. Many are offsite, and they do not appear to know, or care how the employees make the company function.

Advice to Senior ManagementNo matter how great, or improved, or innovative your product is, you still need competent employees to make it work.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
