I have been working at CEVA Logistics full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

A job. I'm comfortable. The job itself is great. My peers are for the most part great. Could be good.

    Cons

I'm still working there. No raise or bonus since 2010. I use up my vacation time to get a 40 hr work week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Inflasion raises at least. A bonus now and again. Just to be even with cost of living I would need a 80 cent raise.

    Great idea, horrible execution

I worked at CEVA Logistics full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The people at CEVA are some of the best and most committed people in the industry. Customers generally love CEVA because they love the people with whom they interact.

    Cons

CEVA was formed of EGL and TNT, two related companies with little overlap and lots of cross-selling potential. Unfortunately the CEO decided that the company needed "Unity" and destroyed the value-generating engines of both companies by trying to combine them at the lowest possible level. This meant that people deeply skilled in their specific domain (forwarding or logistics) were trying to run a combined business that they fundamentally didn't understand. This, compounded with the fact that neither company had a strong management team to start with, resulted in the flaming death spiral that is CEVA Logistics today.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    * Pull your collective heads out of whatever warm, dark places you are keeping them and recognize the fact that forwarding and logistics are two VERY different businesses that require specialty skills to manage
    * Accept the fact that you and your management teams are weak at best and don't try to do anything fancy...focus on basic execution
