I have been working at CGI Group full-time for less than a year

Pros

-great if you want to be a mindless drone
-awesome salary if you want to live in a cardboard box
-great environment for doing nothing
-internal "cult-like" promotion of the company ("one of us")

Cons

-ignorant management
-hands-off work force and administration
-insult to employees with drive for innovation and progressive work styles
-no management fast track

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find something for your employees to do rather than let them sit and do nothing for weeks on end. Companies like this will be the end of IT innovation and progress in the public sector.

I have been working at CGI Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

There are lots of opportunities for those that want to be married to their work.

    Cons

Benefits are not comparable to customers or peer industry
Vacation was just revamped from poor to mediocre
    Company does not promote training
Employees have to buy stock for the company to match - but they want us to be "Owners" Not much incentive when most folk sell the stock as soon as they get it.
End of year bonuses were ridiculously low for most employees, talk is only a few will get it next year

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management does not foster ownership. Company desperately needs to improve benefits. Communication from management is abysmal.
