I worked at CGI as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Nothing I can tell much about, I worked as a contractor for 2 years

    Cons

Horrible managers and the treatment to contractors is one of the worst that I have encountered in my 13 years of IT experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you can't manage please take some courses

I have been working at CGI full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits: Stock Purchase Plan, 401(k), medical, dental
Great environment with generally friendly, diverse group of people
Work / Life balance is better than most other consulting firms

    Cons

Salary is less than competitive, training is minimal at best, cross-project communication is terrible, scope of responsibility is far too small, very little chance of learning new skills while on an assignment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Diversify the skill set of all employees, developers included. It seems as though teams such as AppDev, Test, and Training do not work well together.
