    I have been working at CH2M HILL full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Employee owned - stock purchasing programs. Great coworkers - attracts talented staff. Many cross business group opportunities (diverse interdisciplinary teams). A great company for mid to senior level professionals.

    Cons

    There isn't a successful mentoring program, which means it is not ideal for junior staff. Very competitive environment both between staff and with other companies since it is a consulting firm. This could be acceptable to an extent, but it often goes beyond what I personally think is reasonable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take mentoring seriously. Do not put it on the employee. Provide paid time to staff to create successful mentoring programs or you will lose the next generation of employees.
