    Pros

The benefit package is good but not the best. I realize it is an employee owned company but there are places where compromises should be made. Great co-workers.

    Cons

The company keeps too many contract employees instead of dedicated full time people. The minute you are not billable you are out the door. A lot was lost when Ralph retired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look more closely at the people that stuck with the company when times weren't so goo. Sure, contractors are an alternative but they are not always vested in seeing the company succeed.

    Pros

Decent pay, some jobs pay per diem

    Cons

Cronyism, some groups spend money frivolously on catered lunches and other non essentials

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For the engineer and superintendent jobs...it's best to be buddies with a higher up or project manager in order to get a foothold within the company....for the administrative assistant or secretarial jobs, no degree, no experience, no problem....as long as you are under 30 years old and are under 120 pounds, being married or living with an engineer doesn't hurt either.

Decent job for someone starting out, however...the afford mentioned is becoming more of a problem.
