Pros

Excellent benefits, great pay, always something new to learn, great co workers

Cons

Senior Management always changing, very much into what the shareholders want as opposed to what the customer needs. Too much change in the field and it affects the customers in a negative way. No loyalty for the amount of time put in

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick with what works, listen to your employees and customers and they will guide you the right way. It shouldn't always be about money

    - True multinational company with strong leadership team and clear business strategy.
    - Strong financial position while recession period.
    - Very positive work environment.
    - Open door management.
    - Rewards and recognition is awesome in CHEP.

    Cons

    - You have to be thorough to walk the way and get things done.
    - You get what you ask for but you are left to manage your daily affairs your self.
    - Compensation and benefits schemes cannot attract local talent.

    - Manage your subordinates more efficiently.
    - Tailor your compensation and benefits scheme to suit the local conditions.

    I have been working at CHEP full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    stability - during these hard times CHEP is doing well and will be doing so thanks to good strategies coming from Senior Management
    development of competencies - they let you develop skills and competencies but not always these which are required by yourself
    experience - you gain
    nice people, what is the very important factor for taking the decision to start working in the company
    good level of compensation, but could/should be better

    Cons

    could pay more for the hard work
    flat structure - hard to advance/get promotion
    more and more corpo stress since last year
    stress rising

    need to trust your employees
    new managers need to learn other Depts specifics before taking actions when promoted
