Pros

corporate so you had free time to work and roam. great benefits and competitive pay. enough to make you think its worth it to stay. probably best to get well into the politics so you dont have to scrap to keep your job. gym onsite and alot of luncheons and sponsored events. long lunches and pretty faces

Cons

stability. No real impact to the work your doing.

I worked at CHEP full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Product and service really do provide value to the supply chain. Work with companies at the start and the end of the business that puts all consumer products on the shelf.

    Cons

Too much time spent filling out reports and responding or preparing to respond to fire drills instead of staying on a strategic path. Process was preached but not always followed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Culture is getting in the way. Too uch uncertaintiy and fear. Employees are afraid to stick their necks out and therefore it is the same "protect myself" attitude and not enough true focus on the customer. Artificial metrics like DSO mid and end of year are great for the street but strain relationships and put employee credibility on the line.
