I have been working at CIBC as an intern (less than a year)

Pros

Great summer experience. Friendly people, always willing to help and provide career coaching. Mentorship is great. Would love to come back for another summer.

Cons

Lunch time is limited. Not a lot of young people

    - room for growth
    - lots of internal opportunities
    - equal opportunity employer
    -lots of ways for employees to get involved within the CIBC community and outside communities as well

    experience gaining
    some customer promotions
    dealing with customers

    Cons

    locations
    hours (saturday hours just not supported + sunday hours in some branches)
    processes
    old outdated technology
    no streamlined procedures
    no changes to help update to protect employees
    money
    time management / pressure

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Have a bit more consideration for your employees. Changing their locations without talking to them, moving people around without their consideration is not professional or good business. Communication between management and sales / service staff needs to be more friendly and less political.
