I have been working at CIBC

Pros: One of the few jobs with a pension. Good for people with excellent interpersonal skills. No overnight shifts. No Sundays. Statutory holidays off.… Cons: Outdated badly maintained technology and internal programs. Very poor training "trial by fire" . Do not expect the job to be 9 to 5… Advice to Senior Management: Update the technology, before setting a target make sure that the staff have the resources to meet it. Service the computer systems more… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

Back stabbing culture and fear based senior leadership

Consultant (Former Employee)
Toronto, ON (Canada)

I worked at CIBC full-time for less than a year

Pros: - Decent compensation - Free coffee / tea - Downtown Toronto - 9-5… Cons: - Culture of 'busy bodies' that backstab people. Trying to get colleagues fired seems to be a hobby of most people at this organization. - Inflated… Advice to Senior Management: - Stop being so incompetent. If you can't copy paste from Excel to PowerPoint - maybe you shouldn't… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
