I have been working at CIBC full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Benefits , vacation, perks, banking discounts, groups to join within the organization

    Cons

I can never take vacations when I want, it always seems conditional upon what other people with higher seniority are planning to do, even if they have not booked their vacation yet.
Not much room for advancement and a lack of a supportive culture for advancement - most of the people in my office have been there for 10+ years and are not leaving anytime soon
Recognition given by management is very selective
Reward is given to those who work overtime, do not take any breaks, skip lunches all without compensation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a system where current employees can move easier within the organization and get support to do so.
