I worked at CIBC full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

- Access to traders which can help you get on the trading floor.
- Fairly flexible the time off.
- Company gave no opportunity to learn but an excellent place to learn on your own if one wishes.

Cons

- Boring number crunching work
- Management sub par
- Hard to take extended time off even with medical emergency
- No recognition of work done beyond expectations

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Challenge workers and rotate them to expose them to more

    Pros

    The pay, benefits, the employees (excluding management)

    Cons

    They like to tell you that they are fully focused on customer service, but then they HOUND you to sell sell sell, and if you don't sell you get written up or coached. And that's why they'll stay the number five bank...........................GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!!

    Focus on operational performance. Strong Front end technology deployment

    Cons

    dysfunctional leadership. Weak back end technology strenght. weakening in credit cards

    top heavy; resource management across the value chain not organized - example lack of technical project resources at one time, then lack of testing resources another time, then lack of funding when human resources are aligned
