I worked at CIRCOR International

Pros

Free Coffee
Good Commute
Some of the employees are very nice and great to work with
Lots of parking
Property Management takes good care of the building

Cons

- Senior management is unaware of how HR treats employees
- New hires are considered on basis of age and quality of wardrobe - not on skills and experience
- If you shop at Ann Taylor, by all means apply at Circor!!
- Huge gap between senior management and the individuals that report to them
- Calculated lack of communication and no encouragement of teamwork, no recognition for good work and no room for advancement.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate with ALL of your employees in the executive office - not just the Senior VP of HR and Legal Counsel. You'd be surprised at what people have to say if you would make yourself available and really listen.

    Pros

It's a learning experience for beginners for an entry level position this isn't a bad facility to work for. The employee's are nice and giving. The management isn't bad, everyone around here takes care of one another.

    Cons

Being under contract with a possible hire after 9 months isn't very good when the company appears to be downsizing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leaders here will inform you of what you need to know. New issues that arise you have to find on your own. But big projects are presented to you after they are mapped out by the project manager. I think all administrators should be included in a meeting with the project manager and discuss how things need to go. Put a project manager on a job that has little experience with computers and have them map out certain request that an IT person would know isn't going to work doesn't make our job any easier then it all ready is.

    Pros

Leadership at the top (CEO) is good, values people, very personable and sharp. Good benefit plans, especially 401K with auto match.

    Cons

HR is a revolving door at this company, except at the top. I can't begin to count the number of HR employees I have seen come and go at the local level. Have to wonder if it is the person at the top that is the problem.
