Encouraging and Discouraging Place to Work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsJohn Thain and Scott Parker appear to be doing a great job. Some very good people work here.

ConsIT needs a major upgrade. We're still using XP and Office 97. Poor culture for supporting and investing in process improvement. Certain business unit leaders are exceedingly weak and nothing is done about it. Thain has brought in new leaders for functional groups, now he needs to act faster on the weaker BU leaders.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue with the Town Hall meetings. Seriously evaluate your business unit leaders to understand what they have personally driven and achieved since being in their roles. Iinterview their direct reports and it will give great insight into where you need to act.
