CL&W Employee Review
CL&W – “Managers think of themselves as superior, they treat everyone as "less than"; they do not care about employees.”
Pros
Their pay is higher than other comparable jobs in the area and since they are a municipality, they have state retirement where employees can retire after 25 years at any age.
Cons
The managers treat employees like children. They are biased and partial, and VERY retaliatory. Employees who complain, even when complaints are valid, are seen as trouble employees and then treated badly, given crap jobs and made to do things others are not. They will find a way to get rid of you if you challenge their authority in any way, even if in a professional and healthy way. Employees who go to work their initially feeling good about working there quickly get a bad taste in their mouth for the company simply because of the way employees are treated. And the board of commissioners does not have a clue what is going on because they are only told what the general manager wants them to know of their problems, which is nothing. Very sad situation. Terrible company.
Advice to Senior Management
The Board needs to get a clue, fire the general manager and other 2 or 3 top managers, then start over. Those people are not replaceable.
