I worked at CNA part-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Great benefits are the main reason to work there. They had a 70% match in their 401k and I got a bonus every year except 2001.

Cons

Produce, produce and produce but always follow their guidelines that change monthly if not daily. That produced a combined ratio of 135 one year. Little time for the family.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Production w/o profit = bankruptcy.

    Competitive salary and good benefits if you negotiate well enough

    Cons

    stingy annual increases, they feel the annual bonus is acceptable as part of your base pay

    I worked at CNA full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Pay, and decent benefits for employees.

    Cons

    Management does not cultivate or develop fresh employees. The culture is extremely cut-throat and polarized between tenured employees and new-comers. There is no effort to promote teamwork and a collaborative environment.

    Senior management needs to be either re-trained or removed.
