I worked at CNA full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

- CNA Insurance has established (2008-2010) very hi-tech database system that allows one to drill down data without chasing other people begging to help you get data.
- Good place to learn about insurance products

Cons

- Pay is bad (both salary and commission)
- No appreciation
- Surveillance on your PC 24/7
- One person does two persons job. Don't pay for overtime
- May lay you off anytime
- Most of the employees don't like what they do. They come with one goal "pay check." No creative minds; They are there to retire because they have no place to go.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

- Appreciate employees; value talent.

I worked at CNA full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Easy and convenient to get to. Pay and benefits are on par for industry and job requirements.

    Cons

Everything else. First job out of college and it was what I thought it would be. There's all this talk about growing but I don't see it. 9 out of 10 times you'll have staff that are more qualified than management. If you can fly under the radar you can survive here with the basic education/experience requirements. Most companies have policies against couples in the office. Here its almost encouraged. Lots of people from out of state versus local scene. It's all unique.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shake up management from the core-down.
