I have been working at CNN full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

They celebrate diversity and they listen to the employees' needs and opinions.

    Cons

The only con about the company is trying to find their voice again in the news media of opinions without siding on any bipartisan.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Risking is always part of being successful, and to that, I commend you for putting on the air "CNN Original" shows and documentaries. Keep risking and never be afraid to fail.

I worked at CNN as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

The free iNews, MIRA, and Media Source courses were helpful.

    Cons

Very negative working environment. Co-workers gossip on a daily basis and back stab each other. Internship program is a joke, no help/guidance/events was provided throughout the course of the internship.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect, listen, and value creativity. Give your interns real responsibilities, not use them as copy machines.
