I worked at CNO Financial Group full-time (more than a year)

Pros

There is a good work/life balance with the company; hours are very regulated and it's perfect for those who are concerned with schedule maintenance.

Cons

Poor employee management with top-down directives that have no on-the-ground perspectives; constantly changing initiatives without seeing any one out; hiring ambitious college grads with promises of promotional opportunities that later turn out to be merely a carrot on a stick; politically charged environment; high employee turnover

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on lowering your employee turnover with more incentives to stay (or by lessening the frustrations that cause people to leave). Give your employees the tools to succeed and then TRUST them to utilize those tools effectively. Use positive instead of negative reinforcement to motivate.
