COMSYS IT Partners – “They lied to me about the project length”

Pros

I was able to negotiate a higher rate for another brief project. I dealt with a different account manager/recruiter and she was very good.

Cons

The whole time I had been discussing opportunities with the original recruiter, I said I would take nothing less than a 12 month contract. He insisted the contract I eventually got was 18 months. When I arrived on the job, I found out that it was 6 month...actually, slightly less. The account manager tried to cover up by saying that I could transition to another role at the same client, but there was no guarantee. Lesson learned...verify contract length with hiring manager and don't trust the recruiter!

Advice to Senior Management

Do NOT let your recruiters lie, or even stretch to truth to this degree, to potential employees. In the job market today, there are too many other options.
