CPP International – “Sad Place with Bad Management”
Pros
If you want to get experience in retail goods, then it is a good stariing place. But the "vision" changes often and the executive team does not seem to have a plan. They try to make it fun by having parties and picnics, but don't realize that its not parties and picnics that make employees happy.
Cons
Poor leadership. Managers are selected based on friendship. Lots of inexperienced people in key management positions. Senior managers are either family members, friends, or from companies that have gone out of business. Lots of games are played if you want to get ahead instead of based on your work. Favoritism runs rampant and the leader has no clear vision for the company. He is more interested in his own publicity. I would not recommend this as a good place to work, which is sad because the products could be fun to work on. They don't seem to know what they are doing. Account managers lie to accounts to get placement. Very dishonest atmosphere.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop playing games with people's careers and allow those that have the skills to flourish - instead of only favorites, family members and friends. Be honest and the company might see better sales results instead of constantly declining ones. Value people who make contributions - even if they are not in your "friends circle". It's no wonder all the past employees have gone to the competition - or are consulting for them! The competitor is taking all the good ideas, people and your sales!
