Crossmark gives decent wages and benefits if you are only looking for part time work

Lead Event Specialist (Current Employee) Davenport, IA

ProsCrossmark offers good pay and benefits (medical and 401k) for part time work. The job, itself, is easy unless you are clueless on how to cook. They are flexible in scheduling and the hours aren't hard.

ConsIts only part time. Set up and break down times, for some events, are a joke! Whoever writes the sales plans needs to 1) Step into a kitchen. 2) Actually look at or know what the product is. 3) Put some USEFUL information in it.
Happiness of your team depends hugely on the supervisor. I've had 2 evil and 1 good.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake sure you hire sane supervisors with a grasp on real life.
For the supervisors you do hire: pay them well as they don't REALLY get days off. Cut out all the busy work so they can interact with their workers.
Offer pay raises or some sort of incentive program. This way you can keep the good employees.

    Good starter company

    Analyst (Current Employee) Plano, TX

I have been working at CROSSMARK full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: Mobility, flexibility. Good place as a first corporate job. Cons: Politics, favoritism among management, advancement based more on "right look"… Advice to Senior Management: Look internally for talent to promote before hiring externally. Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

Incompetent District Manager and inexperienced team leads

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Butler, PA

I worked at CROSSMARK part-time for less than a year

Pros: decent pay for part time job. You may find out you mke as much as someone that is doing… Cons: Work every weekend. A computer assigns your weekly schedule. Advice to Senior Management: You will loose your contracts with Sams Club if management doesn't fix out of stocks. Also, slackers manage to slack more and good workers… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
