Ok place to work if you don't mind continuous organizational changes. AAA needs to find an identity and stick to it.

I worked at CSAA Insurance Group

Pros

Good benefits and over all a good company to work for.

Cons

Too many recent layoffs and organizational changes. Also way too many outside consultants, seems like if you want people who truly care about the company they should actually work for the company and not be from the outside.

I have been working at CSAA Insurance Group

    Pros

I Have worked for AAA NCNU Car Care Plus for 9 years now and It has been a great place to work and there is potential for growth within the company.
All the employee's that work here are a great group, friendly, personable and honest.
My job title and work duties have changed for the better since I first became employed @ AAA CCP. The benefit packages available to all AAA NCNU employee's are first rate and there are very few companies in my field of expertise that offer similar benefits.
I would and have recommended working for AAA NCNU to many friends.

    Cons

Unfortunately, AAA NCNU is going thru a restructuring again and have decided to eliminate Auto repair from there business plan. They have already closed the Henderson NV and Sacramento CCP locations and Santa Clara is closing real soon.
They are however trying to sell the business model and there are potential buyers in place.
Will we be picked up in the transition, We do not know at this time.
It has been a heart breaker for myself and everybody that is involved with Car Care Plus. We are going to miss it and so will our customers who have recently learned that CCP is closing
I just wish that ALL AAA clubs were aligned together so that the employee's that work for AAA CCP had a viable option to relocate to other areas within AAA nationally and continue to work for AAA NCNU
There are quite a few employee's that would love the stay working for AAA and Car Care Plus.
There are many other CCP's across the States and more being built in AZ and a straight job transfer is not available because there are so many different AAA clubs in the States, which also sets up confusion and frustration for AAA Members because most AAA members do not realize that AAA is not one entity but a collaboration of separate clubs. Why isn't AAA NCNU and AAA AZ one club when part of AAA NCNU like the IT dept. in AZ?
     Doesn't make sense to me

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management to me has been doing a decent job although there has been much confusing as to what we as a company are to expect. For the most part upper management keeps us informed, but recently there have been some major confusion going on concerning our dept and heart breaking news given to us. AAA NCNU needs to keep Car Care Plus, Open more within the companies jurisdiction, but smaller more efficient CCP facilities that can be more profitable and sustain themselves so that AAA NCNU see's it as a viable and profitable business model,
This is what I was told was going to happen when I signed on with CCP 9 years ago, and now We are closing the doors. I understand that times are tough for everybody and things need to change to stay profitable, But don't close Car Care Plus, Open more smaller ones, not massive CCP's, just a few service bays in other locations that make CCP more accessible to all AAA members
I am not disgruntled, I am heart broken, because I have given my heart and soul to CCP, and it's going down the tubes... Very unfortunate for all of AAA and it's members

I have been working at CSAA Insurance Group

    Pros

Lots of smart people who want to move the company forward.

    Cons

Lots of internal strife; groups not working together, outdated systems and generally the 'old' mentality that holds the company back from being what it could be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of people who hold back the company. Don't change strategy every year, stay focused. A good work/life balance shouldn't mean a stale work environment. This is an ok company but could be a great company.
