CSC – “Very discouraging”

Pros

Salary is good.
Location was convenient.
Benefits ok.
Work hours ok.
Fellow employees always helpful.
Project was interesting.
Some of management were helpful.

Cons

Expected to go into the field on a rush 2 week boot camp and perform at high level. Not enough training/exposure on new area to be an SME. Was hired for Deployment 3 and told there were several places to be staffed after deployment was completed. All hired in for Deployment were laid off as no positions were available.

Advice to Senior Management

Be truthful on staffing for potential employees. If position is only for 3 months then it should be stated as such. Do not be deceitful.
