I have been working at CSU Long Beach full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Job security and longevity (most people have worked here for over 10 years)
Great benefits and tuition reimbursement (you can even take one class during work hours and tuition reimbursements apply to family members as well)
Friendly atmosphere and management that cares about its employees

Cons

Salaries remain fairly low (in the $40,000 to $50,000 range for most positions) because we rely on money from the state; not sure that there's much room for raises/promotions
Money for parking gets taken out of your paycheck, but you can avoid this by taking public transportation or riding a bike if you live close
Employees are paid once a month, which makes budgeting crucial

I have been working at CSU Long Beach part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked out great with my school schedule, and paid better than minimum wage.

    Cons

Could only work 20 hours a week, and the raises were not large enough or happen very often.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Every semester a part time student stays with the position should get a raise of some sort.
