Pros

Great place to work if you love to learn. Managers make great mentors and just about anyone is available to answer questions and teach you about assessment, measurement, management, marketing...whatever you want to learn.

Cons

May be difficult to move up in the corporation if you don't have a Ph.D.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work!

Not a good place to work unless you're an ex-con who doesn't care about being overworked, under payed, and laid off.

    Pros

They will hire anyone who will work for 8 dollars an hour.

    Cons

There is absolutely no chance for advancement or raises. The people that work there do not care at all about the job because no one cares about them.

    Advice to Management

Clear it out and start from scratch. It's hopeless.

I have been working at CTB/McGraw-Hill, LLC

    Pros

The environment is quiet and relatively stress-free. Good work is recognized and appreciated by the managers, and sometimes prizes are given (though I've yet to win any myself).

    Cons

The pay rate seems awfully low for a position for which they require a college diploma. Even for team leads, the pay is not much more. Also training is very brief, yet 2/3rds of my team was let go after a week because apparently we did not "cut it." Though our trainer admitted that the failure was probably his, we were still out of a job. Oh, and security is extremely tight. No food, no books, no cell phones (turn on) at your desk.

    Advice to Management

Higher pay would be nice. And either spend more time on training or make the training clearer.
