Pros

If you're looking for writing material and inspiration, based on many of the people who work there, you will find several asleep at their desks and many others wondering how to pretend they're doing their job. That combined with a few of the great people who work there should be inspiring enough to give you some creative material for a nice piece of theatrical satire about what happens when Canadians try to run a network. Keep your sense of humor and look for the few good people left and you might actually be able to block out the bad ones. Forget about management.

Cons

The company is half union, half non-union, creating a very unpleasant atmosphere. There's a lot of tension in the air, excessive politics and drama which can easily wreak havoc on your day. The pay is below average and there is a constant pretentious attitude that seems to come from management thinking they're doing you a favor just by letting you in the door. The company seems to operate in a bubble state of mind. There are better networks out there that actually promote creativity; something CTVglobemedia hasn't done in years.

Advice to Senior Management

From HR to middle management and all the way up....if you people think you're running this company well, you need to back to school.
