CVS Caremark – “Great...unless you want a life”

Pros

Advancement oppurtunities are laid out vey well and a clear career path is shown to all employees.

Cons

You aren't encouraged to have a life outside of CVS and you are punished or admonished for choosing your personal life over your work life. You can be completely dedicated to your job durring the hours that you are at your job but if you don't eat ,sleep, or breathe CVS then upper management tends to have no use for you. the constant switching of supervisors leads to cofusion about just what is the priorites of your job. It changes with every upper management change. You get repromanded for things the privious supervisor thought were priotrities but the current supervisor does not. If you have the misfortune to have a supervisor that has no life and doesn't care if they don't spend time with their friends or family they tend to treat you as if you are lazy if you do want that time for things outside of the company.

Advice to Senior Management

I would say to upper management that abition is a good thing but not when it is the sole focus of the individual and it is not for the good of the whole but just for that sole individuals benefit.
