CVS Caremark – “Organizational Disconnect”
Pros
- Decent pay for rank & file workers.
- Good systems in place to handle heavy customer traffic
- Plenty of parking
Cons
- Drafted reset plans are not matched to the store size.
- Deliveries are received in totes stacked 10' high wrapped in plastic. Very hazardous unloading these from the truck.
- Employees are directed to finish operational tasks over serving consumers. This makes for disgruntled customers & high levels of theft.
Advice to Senior Management
Stay engaged with your employees, especially the younger ones. Management sets the example, so when managers show little concern with anything other than the bottom line, the apathy trickles into the young workers on the floor. This not only creates a major disconnect in the workflow, it instills bad habits.
