Former Employee - Shift B Supervisor
Former Employee - Shift B Supervisor

I worked at CVS Health full-time (less than an year)

Pros

hourly staff is nice. management uses shift supervisors to do all their grunt work and dont pay enough.

Cons

pay is bad. you have to unload trucks and the testing and paperwork is ridiculous.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

treat supervisors better. we dont get paid much more than hourly staff but have twice as much work load.

    Pros

pay is in line with competition,

    Cons

everything else, workload is not even close to being achievable.
SOS = Action Plans = Real World? = Really?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give store managers the resourses to do everything you ask from us. This company used to be strong but not now. Every employee manager on down is saying the same thing!

horribly mismanaged on a district level

I have been working at CVS Health

    Pros

work with good people in the store/pharmacy

    Cons

District managers have been out of the stores for so long they are out of touch and don't know what the current environment is like. Employees are evaluated by meaningless metrics (how fast you answer the phone or drive thru) instead of how many people you help. District managers complain that metrics are not met, then refuse to staff properly. Customers will always be given what they want by the district managers, even when the customer is wrong and/or abusive. Employees are thrown under the bus without even hearing what the facts of the situation are. Very disappointing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work in a store at least once a week. Staff the stores properly. Listen to and VALUE your employees. Enough of the meaningless metrics!
