I worked at CVS Health full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Coworkers were great and management cared about their employees. Salaries were competitive and benefits were good. Enjoyed my time working there.

Cons

Once CVS bought Caremark everything went downhill. Massive layoffs followed over the years, Management didn't care about anything but saving their own jobs. More and more complaints by customers. They moved many operations around and lowered salaries. Now employee health benefits are going to become extremely expensive and almost non-existent. It's a big Pharma company that only cares about their bottom line.

    I have been working at CVS Health full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    30% discount on CVS Brand, and 20% discount on other non sale merchandise. Company has discount center online where you can purchase or get services for various things at a discount. Reward system where you earn points and can redeem them for merchandise or gift cards. Vision Insurance excellent, and Medical/RX ok but high deductible plan. 30 hours full time per guaranteed at least 30, part time only guaranteed 4 hours a month.

    Cons

    Depending on your manager, it could be good or bad. Sometimes managers are allowed to do or say things that are illegal or non professional, and when you report it sometimes it gets lost in translation. Depending on how well your store performs, your hours could be cut or extended beyond what you agreed to work, sometimes even mandatory overtime. Customer Service is priority, but at the price of verbal abuse of employees is allowed.

    Get your head out of your ass, and go on Undercover Boss and see what's really going on in the stores.
