I worked at CVS Health

Pros

Friendly coworkers who actually cared about coworkers, insurance coverage for spouse and children,a regular paycheck paycheck on a weekly basis.

Cons

Some of the worst district managers that I have ever worked for in my life. I had worked in Milwaukee and Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois and the two DM's are the worst. They will show the carrot but do not think that you will get it. They will work you into the ground. Just because your kids are grown does not mean other associates do not have family they would like to spend time with instead of working 24/7. There was definite favoritism to "pet managers" that for some unknown reasons were allowed to use more hours than stores that did twice the volume. The district loss prevention manager was a weasel that would perform audits when my manager was gone and avoid confrontation with that manager becausehe knew her schedule.

Lets not cut anymore hours please.

I have been working at CVS Health

    Pros

There really are no reasons to work at this company, other than the benefit pkg is good.

    Cons

regardless of whether you work or do not work, you will never get an increase
all the company does is cut back and cut back
you work by yourself with little or no help
you do not have time for lunch as it is constantly interrupted
every job has interruptions, but this one is nothing but interruptions, since there is no help
expectations are high, with no time to get anything done
customers walk off with merchandise daily, as again, there are no employees to watch the sales floor
if someone calls out, wow are you in a tough situation

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The only thing that matters to store managers is the yearly bonus. Thus the cutbacks to show their bosses and their bosses and so on up the ladder how wonderful they are doing. Cut out the bonus, and focus in on the employees nd customers, both of who will leave when the economy improves.

I have been working at CVS Health

    Pros

Coworkers are friendly, there's always something different to do so time flies. 30% off CVS products definitely comes in handy, while 20% other products in the store is nice to have.

    Cons

Schedule is posted only a few days before the next workweek. Hours fluctuate- can be working a morning shift one day and until 12am the next, so life outside of work is non-existent. Pay is pretty low.
