Pros

Integrity and quality are valued very highly
Virtually unlimited opportunity for career growth
Flexibility to work when and where you want (as long as it's all the time :))
Interesting and worthwhile work

Cons

Culture of workaholism, but that's consulting for you

Advice to ManagementAdvice

As a 100% employee-owned company, one would think that the employee-owners would have more input on annual targets. Not everyone values maximum economic growth above their sanity and family time.

    Good opportunities, but little support

    Pros

Cadmus wants its employees to succeed as consultants (which largely means to develop as project managers, and to start winning proposals). If you have strong organizational skills, are smart and proficient with Excel and Word, and are interested in developing as project manager, Cadmus might work out for you.

    Cons

Not much management focus on personnel, so on-boarding can be very difficult. General expectation is 45 hours per week, and you have to track and record billable (and non-billable) hours. Subject matter experts often struggle with political constraints and can feel under-valued relative to project managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management relies heavily on the magic of incentives (figure it out and make us money, and you'll be rewarded). This really does work for a lot of things, but not everything. Cadmus is getting big now, and needs a much more serious process for documenting its processes and methods (information security, data integrity, SAS and Excel programming structure and documentation, etc.).

    Neutral Outlook
