I worked at CafePress full-time for more than a year

Pros – Good technology to work with and grow skills in new areas. Many great people and innovators in the company early on that were amazing to work with.

Cons – Technical people promoted to justify higher salaries, but given no training on how to manage or coach people. Bad personality mixes in teams led to many confrontational situations that hindered productivity. The CEO comes from the food industry, and views everyone like disposable factory workers.

Advice to Senior Management – Listen to people in the trenches who are doing the work, to experts that are already employed and vested in the company future. Too many projects are done in a vacuum, without
