You're not going to go anywhere with this internship

Intern (Former Employee)
Sacramento, CA

ProsFlexible hours, easy work, little responsibility, bosses take you out for lunch at times, access to cool investment data, nice office furniture, cool atmosphere and building, nice cafeteria, easily accessible by public transportation.

ConsLittle room for growth, lack of investment in interns and even just new employees, no training whatsoever, low pay, no clear path to employment, you'll never get to participate in training opportunities or programs and never get to sit in on important meetings, awful bureaucracy prevents you from even being able to install an approved web-browser without two sign-offs.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive your interns a reason to want to stay on as full-time employees: Let them have access to the meetings and seminars that are given to regular employees as long as the information is not sensitive. Provide training! If you want good results, give good training.

Good experience for an intern. Not good for someone starting out a career.
