Pros

Excellent leadership that navigated the economic downturn skillfully
Operates independently - local decision-making with sizeable resources to support growth
Collaborative spirit permeates the organization
Open door policy extends all the way to the CEO's office
Competitive cash compensation
Fair and ethical approach to people-issues (employee and customer)

Cons

Needs to improve marketshare - sales culture just beginning to take hold
Needs energy in the retail branches
Tolerates low-performing employees too long
Need focused talent development programs

Advice to Management

Be more visible. Executives are not in the field very often.
Have more cross-Division functions. People work well together across functions, but the opportunities to do so are limited.

    Pros

Californai Bank & Trust is a conservatite bank with thier procedures and when it comes to bringing customers in as leads. It can be a great company with the right management and especailly for those looking for a higher position.

    Cons

Empty promises (as far as promotions), low pay, benefits packages are obscure and difficult. Low traffic inside of a branch.

    Advice to Management

Try and be more accomidating on a personal level and don't give hopes of soemthing you never intend to happen. This may only be my experience but I have heard it before from others.

    Pros

    Closed on the weekends
Pay is about average, nothing special
Easy job until you move into the sales side
Doesn't have a lot of bad debt like most banks

    Cons

Worst benefits in the banking industry, every other bank I've worked for has offered better benefits
It's really slow so you can get bored easily
    Started laying people off

    Advice to Management

Give the employees better benefits to choose from. Health benefits are extremely important and CB&T has the worst in the industry.
