I worked at California Casualty full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

This is a small company so it is very easy to get to know people. Most of the employees are eager to help you learn and answer questions.

    Cons

Due to it's small size, there is very limited flexibility. I was unable to get time off that I had requested six months in advance. There is a very tight work schedule that is not conducive at all to family needs and I found a significant lack of work/life balance. Scheduling and promotional opportunity is extremely limited due to the amount of tenure most of the employees have. Anyone new coming in will not have seniority for time off or upward movement for at least five years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more open to innovative ideas and change. This company operates about two decades behind everyone else in the industry.
