I have been working at California Casualty full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Family owned, employees are treated with respect and valued, great work environment. There is also great HR and Learning and Development support for work place issues or for those who want to advance. I am six months in and feel valued, challenged and appreciated. No place is perfect but I have talked with many people here who left other work environments to join California Casualty, and what more can you say about a company that boasts hundreds of employees with 25 years or more who still work here.

Cons

Expectations are high but attainable.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep realizing your employees are a great asset.

I have been working at California Casualty full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Company car and fuel card
Work from home when not in the field
    Above average salary
    Opportunity for monetary bonuses
    Make your own schedule
Getting paid to travel your home state instead of sitting in a cubicle
    Meet new people every day
Open door policy even when working in the field
    Fair management
Challenging enough to keep me from getting bored
    Bonus trips
Plenty of room to advance your salary in a fairly short amount of time
Recognition to employees that go above and beyond
Promoted to be creative and have fun on the job

    Cons

Goals can be challenging but goals are constantly being looked at by management and changes are made when something is not working well
Every once in a while have to work above normal hours to reach goals

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the goals reasonable to ensure work hours are around 37.5 per week with limited time over that. Love working for Calfornia Casualty as the Pros outweigh the cons any day of the week! I would and already have highly recommended California Casualty to my family and friends!
