“Typical Government Job”
I have been working at California Dtsc full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good work-life balance
Some friendly coworkers
Steady job that is very connected to environmental consulting companies
Cons – Low morale in the company
Not many growth opportunities within the organization
Most people in the organization 50+
I felt unequipped to talk to environmental consultants and customers with years and years of corporate experience. Frankly, the environmental sector of the government is very backwards in its understanding new methods/technologies in the field.
Advice to Senior Management – Less office politics
More support for teams
