Pros

Friendly environment. High Tech. Key responsibility. Fully developed intern program every summer. However most people come from Arizona State and CSU-Sac. Need to expand the recruiting efforts

Cons

Silos everywhere. Inefficient when it comes to resolving conflicting interests. Fairly young company still (founded in 1998). Unique of its kind in the electricity industry, but faces further re-structuring

Advice to Management

Really get to understand the operations and roles of employees

    Pros

One of the better places to work in the power systems field. Good pay, good location, nice people to work with.

    Cons

Job may become boring sometimes, especially once you learn what you are supposed to do. Does not offer job rotations as some utilities do.

  2. Professionally challenging and fast-paced.

Management style and quality can sometimes vary considerably, a major factor in the work quality experience.

    Advice to Management

Reconsider the rigorous boot camp style training for new managers and instead focus on constructive team and group discussion approach.
