I worked at California State University as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The people are all really nice. CSUSB is an amazing instituation.

    Cons

The internship did not provide the help and experience that I was hoping for. The potential for a full-time job is not there. There are several great jobs listed that would be great for new graduates but they don't seem to consider them for these openings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When looking for an HR intern, please teach them HR related skills. It would also be nice if you could offer new jobs to recent graduates to help them get the experience they need to move forward in their careers

I worked at California State University as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Some of the Adjunct and Assistant professors in the Art Dept. are very talented and great teachers.

    Cons

Most of the tenured professors in the Art Dept. are difficult to work with and a couple try to do everything to undermine your success. They are not very supportive, unless you totally agree with their P.O.V. and kiss up to them. Top staff will ignore your complaints.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire the tenured staff and get some new blood in there, that are more open to different ways of thinking and doing things.
