Generally a decent place, but some teams were overworked and struggled how to be efficient at what they were doing.

I have been working at Campbell Alliance full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

nice people, flexible schedule, decent salary, very good benefits

Cons

salary is not good enough to warrant the amount of work required on some of the less efficient teams; most people already have graduate degrees, so it's not a great place for professional development if you are pre-MBA/PhD

    Pros

    Tools provided to employees among best in industry
    Those who sell business have multiple opportunities for promotion (sometimes 2 in one year)
    Industry-leading reputation for pharmaceuticals consulting
    Exposure to wide range of projects and client types (varies by Practice Area)
    Best-in-class training program
    Thorough review process

    Cons

    Limited opportunities for promotion for non-selling roles
    Extremely heavy workload, limited/no work-life balance (though business is cyclical)
    Often unrealistic expectations--projects sold with unreasonably short timelines, understaffed, e.g.
    Management unapproachable--ivory tower

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Greater effort needed to make workload, promotion opportunities, quality of work more uniform across practice areas. Adjust salaries to cost-of-living by city.

    Exceptional knowledge of pharmaceutical industry
    Great training in basic consulting skills
    Sincere effort to be a meritocracy
    Accessible senior management
    Strong quality control on the details

    Cons

    Limited to pharmaceutical industry
    Cookie-cutter approach to client problems
    Rigid silos, lack of opportunity to work across lines
    Lack of creativity
    Blame goes down, credit goes up

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Open up to the world outside the standard pharmaceutical approach. There is more to life than selling Viagra and Latisse. Understand how pharmaceuticals fit within the larger health care picture.
