Campus Apartments – “With just being employed a short time, I am in the middle on how Campus Apartments is as a company.”

Pros

There is not much micromanaging that takes place. The bonuses are good, as long as you're meeting the requirements for them. Taking time off for vacation or sick time is handled well. Most of the staff is friendly.

Cons

Only having worked with this company for about 6 months, I have not been completely satisfied with how some things have gone. The benefits/insurance plan is hard to understand and work with and HR nor management knows how to respond to issues or questions. Some staff that have been employed for awhile are not very knowledgeable or competent for their jobs. Also, this company is big on telling you something will happen and it taking a few weeks or months for it to happen, or never. They also expect you to do these great big things at the properties, but with no money to do them. Communication is somewhat lacking; all contact is through email. At times this is good, but when you need an immediate response, it may take awhile to get one. No one (upper management or middle management) takes the time to ask how things are going with your location/job and if there is anything that could be changed to help make things run better.

Advice to Senior Management

Keep your word. Hire more staff to help in areas that are swamped with questions (HR). Ask the staff about how things are going and offer help or assistance to make things better.
