Thanks to the hard fought battles of our union our pay/benefits are decent, it's the co. that is militant.

Letter Carrier (Current Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

ProsYou don't have to work inside for too long. Exercise while working is great. I don't get too dirty at work.

ConsThe co. is very hard on it's workers when they make errors. 5 day suspensions and a poor work environment that doesn't stress positive re-enforcement are the norm, unfortunately. There is zero trust of management.

Advice to Senior ManagementPositive re-enforcement and proper training for workers. Easy on the heavy handed disciplining and frivolously numerous 5 suspensions that cost us all including the co. and cupw a lot of time effort and money. It makes for a poor work environment and grudge toting workers.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Pros: -Not always working 8 hours in a day -Decent Compensation (depending… Cons: -Big corporation, your another face in the crowd, supervisors barely know you by name. -Working in adverse weather conditions (-40, +40) -Heavy mail days are very hard… Advice to Senior Management: Allow for employee's to get bonuses depending on their delivery of flyers etc. An employee with a longer route and more flyers/parcels… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
