    Pros

    The hourly wage is good.

    Cons

There seems to be no hope of becoming a permanent employee after 5 years as a casual worker. They seem to want to keep workers in a casual status so they don't owe us any benefits or hours. I still get called day to day for work - there seems to be no ability to schedule temp workers ahead of time even though it is pretty obvious where there are staffing shortages. For instance, in the areas where full time workers are working overtime most days, they need to create another position and hire someone. Very poorly managed workloads. Supervisors either disappear when needed or micromanage work that doesn't need their input. Suggestions for improvements in the system have been laughed at. There is a lot of shifting of the work to the graveyard shift, which makes people sick and tired and has made most inside plant workers are super grumpy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People before profits! Overtime should be occasional, if there is a need to consistently force overtime on permanent employees (which there is and has been for years), then you need to hire more workers! In my plant some PO5's have been working 10-12 hour days for at least a year. That's ridiculous!

    Pros

Not a good place to work. Other then the benefits and your some of the people, your better off soemwhere else.

    Cons

Management does not respect employees, no career advancement, no employee recognition. They take adavantage of their employees and when they have no need for you they discard like an old shoe.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

take the time to acknolwedge employee contributions, be honest with the employees. Stop using the employees to further company profits.
