Pros

This crown corporation has a real drive and commitment to improve themselves. My expectations were of a government type organization, but this is not the case. There are real objectives, people who care about where they are going, and a clear path to get there. The investment to improve this company over the next 5 years is staggering and shows the committment of the senior management and directors.

Cons

As with most large employers there will always be "bad days", where the system itself frustrates the employee. This company has 60,000+ employees, corporate policies and systems are necessary to keep the system functioning continuously; however, these same systems make doing your job difficult and frustrating over time and can distract you from your efforts. Using the SAP system is always painful...

Advice to Senior Management

Keep on target with the main goals, but enable your employees more with proper motivation. The "quota" or "bell curve" system on yearly personal evaluations is statistically correct, but highly demotivational when a manager MUST choose someone to be a "dis-satisfied". Stop sending so much corporate mail to my house!
