Canada Safeway – “Good part time job for students”

Pros

It is an excellent place to work especially if you are a high school or university student. I guess it depends upon who your manager is but they are very flexible with shifts. I could tell my manager which days I can't work an he would schedule me around that. During exams too you can tell them if you want to work less hours and they would happily oblige. They treat you a lot better then the fast food joints.

Cons

In the department I was working it was very slow so shifts went by very slowly at times. The senior management can be very cheap and try to screw you out of health benefits, one of my co-workers got screwed over this.

Advice to Senior Management

Don't be so cheap. Lower your product prices. It is shameful what we charge for products when customers can get the same products at WalMart or Superstore at a fraction of the price
