Cons

Railway is a 7 x 24 operation, so sometimes that means working well outside M-F day time - just part of the deal. Some parts of company aren't as modernized in thinking and leadership yet but that is being actively changed. Strong functional organization, which is good on many levels, but has a tradition of silos - this is also being actively changed.

Advice to Senior Management

Stay the course, keep the current consistency in focus and messaging over the long term. Continue to balance investment in long term change and improvement in people's thinking and leadership with the delivery of profits and productivity to stay economically viable in the short and mid term.
