I worked at Canadian Tire full-time for less than a year

Pros

Overtime pay was decent and employees would often have to work overtime due to being understaffed. Some of the other employees and managers were helpful.

Cons

The store was frequently understaffed and so employees were expected to perform multiple roles and duties. Little training was provided for new hires.

    I worked at Canadian Tire part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    manager was chill, no a big work load, was separated from the rest of the departments,

    Cons

    store manager and other department managers were harsh, and disrespectful to anyone below them is status., environment was dirty (not messy), no respect for most workers, dod not provide ANY training for the job, incompetent HR, no union or right or place to voice your opinions

    cherish your employees even if they are part time because they are the face of your company.

    Great people, great focus and purpose, strong engagement across the family of companies.

    Always a challenge to move more quickly, not get bogged down in processes

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue to articulate very clearly to employees about the high-level strategy and the direction we are taking the company. This has become a big positive in the last year or so. Keep it up. Authentic communication from leadership down has gotten better and needs to be kept up.
