Poor to mediocre place to work

I have been working at Canadian Tire part-time for less than a year

Pros- Flexible hours
- Nice/easy going staff

Cons- Minimum wage despite extensive experience.
- The location I worked at was a disorganized mess, making the job very frustrating at times.
- Outdated computer system
- No benefits or rewards, absolutely no incentive to go above and beyond.
- 10% employee discount is an absolute joke. They also don't give employees Canadian Tire money, so technically, the discount is less than 10%.
- Was deducted money from every pay cheque for "social fund," to pay for staff social events and outings, yet there was not a single staff event in my time there. Where does this money go?
- Very greedy company
- Highest staff turnover rate I have ever seen in a business.
- Store has no pride in itself, an absolute mess.
- Cheap, irritating, low class clientele.
- Absolutely no training. Siting your new staff in front of a computer for 10 hours is not training.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe managers do their job, but the entire organization has incredibly low standards.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
